| Customer Reviews: A Complete Waste of Money August 15, 2010 M. Janosi (New York) The concept behind this product is wonderful. The supplier, As Seen on TV, and the product are not so great. The first time I received this unit, it was in pieces. Even the box was falling apart. The solar panel was cracked, the housing assembly for one of the arms was broken. The housing for the lights was completely disassembled, and there where no directions. The overall feel and look of this unit was a cheaply made, way over-priced, used product. I contacted the seller and received an RA, but from this seller there is no free return shipping. I received the replacement very quickly. This time the box was intact and there where instructions included, but again the unit's telescoping arms are broken. The remote control does not work (needs a new battery already?) and as an added bonus there was a random cell phone/car charger in the box??? Yes, I am going to repeat that I think I am getting used or previously returned items. I reassembled the telescope arms and used black electrical tape to hold them together. I didn't want to waste MORE money on return shipping and really wanted to see if it worked at all lol!! I charged it for a few days in the sun, then stuck it in the ground to accent one of my flower beds. Without a remote control, the unit came on at dusk and stayed lite for almost three hours. The light was poor, I had to get it about 2ft away from the flowers to even see the light's effects. Its lighting path reminds me of a flashlight beam, with white light instead of yellow. It is not very powerful, it is flimsy and very cheaply made. Way over priced, and seemingly second-hand. A complete waste of you money, time, and not at all as advertised. I bought a Solar Powered Floodlight instead from a different supplier)..worked great :D!!
