UPDATE: It's been a little over four months of them being installed and two have inexplicably quit working. On one of the solar lights, the clear plastic top has actually melted...
New rating: 1 star. Look elsewhere for a set of pathway lights, these are not worth the time or money.
EDIT: Apparently I seem to be the only one to have received a working set of these lights. Please read the other reviews and take caution in purchasing a set of these lights as they seem to be suspect in terms of quality in what you will receive.
A few things that you might want to know about these pathway lights before you buy them.
First off they are made in China so the quality of them is kinda iffy. They're good, but not great. The light housing isn't sealed up to prevent moisture or dirt from getting into them, so don't place them in a spot that will be hit constantly by water, such as near a sprinkler system that comes on automatically.
Now on the plus side the light pretty much can be taken apart completely piece by piece, which allows you to clean or even replace parts of the light (if need be). And since everything comes apart you can separate the light housing from the stake, so you can store them for the winter or quickly grab them and take them inside during severe weather.
The single LED light is surprising bright and lasts a LONG time on a single charge, in fact I even timed how long the light lasted. What I did was allowed the solar panel to charge the batteries in the lights for a good eight hours then brought them in to see how long they would stay lit. On the box they state that they will provide eight hours or more. In my test the light that lasted the shortest amount of time lasted ten hours... the other three lasted 12+. So in normal use they will give you more then enough light every night.
And the light itself is omnidirectional with about a 90° angle where it focuses a bit more light. That way you can aim the light inward towards the pathway. A nice touch.
So in the end these are a good buy and will be used in our garden for years, I just wish they were made of higher quality material and that the light housing sealed up better.
Pros:
CHEAP, $20 for four lights.
The single LED provides enough light.
Plastic stakes are expandable to allow you do have the light 6" tall or 12" tall.
Lights last a solid 10+ hours on a single charge, impressive!
AA battery is replaceable if need be.
Cons:
The lights housing doesn't seal up, which allows dirt and water to get into the housing... a simple rubber or foam gasket would fix this.
Made in China which reflects on the quality.

I bought two sets (eight lights) a few months ago. Two of the lights are pretty much useless now, as they only stay on for a couple of hours.
The others work okay and last for about eight hours, but don't expect these lights to be very bright. If they all worked equally I'd have given another star.
Overall they are alright for accent lighting, and the price is decent. The Chinese manufacturing quality speaks for itself however.

I ordered two of these 4 light sets. One light from one set does not turn off in bright sun light. One light from the other set only stays lit for about one hour after dark. A 25% failure rate right out of the box. Not a good buy at $40 for six CHEAP solar lights.

you get what you pay for , and these lights were only $10, for the price the product is ok. but i would not buy them again.
the delivery and communication was excellent.
so if the seller is selling a product you like, be assured you will get great communication and fast delivery.
